This apartment in West London underwent a complete refurbishment and interior design. Natural polished plaster was applied on the walls to create a soft luxurious feel against the detailed decorative ceilings. The large vertical windows were dressed in sheer and warm layers of soft fabric to enhance the incoming natural light and creating focal points within the rooms. Furniture pieces and light fittings were picked to give comfort and a modern twist complementing the existing traditional backdrop. Geometric furniture was introduced to give a modern graphic twist and to contrast against the softer background creating interest and definition to the rooms. The bedrooms and dressing areas were finished in warm neutral colours to give a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The dressing rooms were mainly solid veneered cabinets with a dedicated shoe storage ‘the shoe shrine’ with smoked glass doors and shelving to exhibit the client’s collection of shoes.
