Louise Glynn Margherita Thumiger

Margherita is partner and co-founder of Studio 29.  Born in Milano, Italy, Margherita breathed style and love for details from the start. She moved to London just before the new Millenium, after a stint in Barcelona and a few years spent honing her skills at Alter Studio, Hikaru Mori and Caputo Partnership in Milano. She has worked for 16 years on residential projects first in Notting Hill, then in Holland Park and more recently in Kensal Road, working her way up from assistant to senior architect, under which role she has completed many high end residential refurbishments for private clients.

Margherita particularly enjoys interior architecture, design of bespoke furniture and interior design and the thrill of orchestrating the best team to successfully complete a project.

“The life of our clients is so layered that I often feel my role is helping them distilling the best aspects of it, so that their home is not only a mirror of who they are, but also the place where they can feel truly themselves”.

Louise is a partner and co-founder of Studio 29. Louise’s interest in architecture started at an early age when she began building enormous structures of Lego to her parent’s amazement. After buying and re-fitting a micro apartment for herself she has become fascinated by fitting people’s lives into small spaces, with inventive layouts and clever use of storage.

After nine years working in Holland Park, she has completed many residential projects and has secured a number of planning permissions for listed buildings and buildings in conservation areas for both private and corporate clients.

For Louise design and architecture are ways to help people live, work and play better. Her passion for drawing and details, hands-on approach and ability of getting on well with everybody on building sites will all contribute to the success of your project. Many people are nervous when faced with the unknowns of refurbishing a house, with the challenges of a budget, deadlines, the quirks of Victorian structures and the maze of products on the market, Louise loves it.
