All part of the process - stripping out and inserting the new floors of the barn

It’s all very exciting as we are now on site at our barn project in Norfolk. The existing stone and flint barn has now been stripped back with the new structure being erected. The site, which edges the coastal path has incredibly beautiful views across the horizon and so the next step - the choice of windows is important. We visited Treviso earlier this week where we met with the window manufacturing company, Palladio, to discuss the steel framed windows in a bronzed metal finish. We have around 30 windows and large spans of glazing for both parts of the roof and doors.

We also plan to install new rusted style conduits, switches and sockets in part of the property due to the exposed flint and brick wall surface. The overall effect is one that gives an imperfect look and fits in well with the uneven surfaces of the barn. Everything has to be designed to the individual needs of the spaces!
