The Archibishop’s secret garden Lambeth
A few images of the secret garden Lambeth Palace, which was open to the public yesterday for the local parish Fete. The garden is the oldest continuously cultivated garden in London. A great source of inspiration for the layout (long planted axes, semi circular paths, sequences of “rooms”!), the colour schemes and the understated yet extremely elegant use of plants (espallier pear trees, silver herbaceous, beautifully sculpted old trees!). A gem.
